Business Coaching for Owners & Entrepreneurs

Are you tired of being the last person who gets paid, works the longest hours and never takes time off?

Imagine for a moment what it would be like to feel in control of your business: with stable cash flow, a steady stream of new customers, and systems that leave you feeling organized (and make it easy to delegate, so you actually get to take some time off!)

Investing in business coaching will be the best decision you ever make for your business!

During my 16 years coaching owners and entrepreneurs here is what I have observed:

You struggle with not enough time to get everything done.

It feels like you’re busy all the time, but you’re not making any progress. You feel disorganized, like things are slipping. You know you should create systems and streamline processes, but you’re too busy putting out fires. Vacation? What’s that??

Your business would be great if it weren’t for employees.

You can’t seem to hire the right people. Sometimes it seems like it would be easier to do the work yourself than manage your employees. You are acutely aware of the cost of a bad hire. Yet you know you need people in order to expand and make your business profitable.

There never seems to be enough money.

You lay awake at night worried about cash flow and making payroll. Maybe some months you don’t get paid because everything else comes first. No matter how much is coming in, it’s never enough.

All of this leads to confusion and frustration and the question: “what am I doing wrong?”

Here’s why you’re in this situation

In my experience of over 16 years of business coaching, the problem always boils down to 3 things.
1. Lack of business education/training

You are awesome at what you DO. You have great customer service and an excellent product/service.

You’re not as good at business – because you never got that education or training. You’ve managed to get this far without it…and now you’re faced with issues you’re not prepared to handle.

2. Lack of business systems

This leads to problems and inefficiencies. Your customer service is inconsistent and you spend a lot of time putting out fires. When you first started customer service is what made you great. Now you are constantly reinventing the wheel which is very inefficient. Time is money.

3. Inexperience leading a team

You started off as a one or two person operation and now you have employees to manage.

Your team is growing and you need to make the adjustment from being the person who does the work into the person who leads the people who do the work.

You have spent so much time and effort to learn about the service or product your business provides. Now is the time to develop your leadership, delegation, recruiting and training skills.  After all you don’t get the team you want, you get the team you deserve. If you want a better team, now is the time to grow YOUR skills so that you can get and keep better people to make your business flourish.

It’s time for you to step into your role as a business OWNER

Instead of being the person who works IN the business, you now have to step into your role as the leader of your team and spend your time working ON the business.

You can have a business that supports your life (instead of the other way around)

With some targeted education and training – along with perspective and insight from a trained and experienced business coach and mentor, you can achieve the same results my clients report:

  • Increased sales and revenue
  • Spending less time in the business
  • Increased clarity and confidence in your ability to grow the business
  • Employees that are trained and follow proven systems
  • Less crisis management
How does business coaching work?

Coaching evolved from a management style to a separate identifiable profession over twenty years ago.  Today, there are thousands of professionals using the term “coach” to help tens of thousands of people to improve their lives.  The vast majority of coaches in practice today concentrate on working with individuals to improve their personal lives.  These coaches are typically called “personal coaches.”

“Business coaching” takes many of the lessons learned from the successes of personal coaching and applies them to help business owners and decision makers make their companies more successful.   In addition to helping the person, the business coach is an expert in various areas of business.  While coaches may have backgrounds in various business fields, a good business coach is a skilled mentor many areas as a result of personal experience, training and years of coaching.  Therefore, the combination of expert business advice along with personal training, provides the business owner with not only the knowledge of “what to do,” but also development of the ability and mindset to actually perform the required tasks.

My role as your Coach is to be your trusted advisor

I will never tell you what you “should” do. It’s your business and you get to decide what to do. I’ll provide feedback, perspective, and ask questions to help you explore your options. You are practical and your time is valuable, you need to know what strategies to implement, if not you would be already doing them! I’ll move from coach, to consultant to mentor when necessary so you get what you need.

Most of your issues are common to business and the good news is that there are common solutions to them!

They could be the following:

  • You want Ideas on how to improve your gross and net revenues through marketing and sales training.
  • You want to know how to hire and train employees or sub-contractors.
  • You want to know how to establish customer service programs to ensure satisfaction and continued business.
  • You need to know how to become a better leader inspiring your team to create the vision of the business?
  • You may need help with your partner(s) to navigate the tricky issues of communication, responsibilities and decision making.
  • Most importantly you need to be accountable for working ON your business vs. working IN your business?

The Success Biz Program for Small Businesses

Clarity ~ Strategy ~ Accountability

The initial areas of concentration will be dependent on the results of the initial Business Effectiveness Evaluation for Small Business. This is the clarity piece.

While there are often many areas of opportunity and frustration, with the help of your Coach a list of priorities is created.  This is where the initial focus will be. At our first meeting, we will go over the assessment and create a 90 day and 1 year strategy plan. This way we can make the most efficient use of our time and get the fastest results for you.

The focus could be on a few fundamental areas – reviewing your mission, vision and values, following or refreshing your business plan, creating a marketing system that drives predictable income, creating a sales system that converts prospects into customers, creating a customer service system that keeps them coming back, and financial management to ensure profitability.  In addition, you may wish to focus on success mindset strategies so that you can get out of your own way.

Once you are clear on the key areas of concentration an action strategy plan is put in place.

Ongoing accountability with your Coach will ensure you the take immediate on the right action steps. Continuous assessing of progress and priorities occurs to ensure that what truly needs to be worked on at that time is what is being addressed.

You will get one-on-one, personalized coaching on whatever your areas of concentration are: time management, goal setting, planning, sales and marketing, business systems, team management or success mindset strategies.

What does it cost?

First of all, coaching doesn’t cost – it pays.

Coaching is an investment that usually begins to pay off immediately and will continue paying off over the life of your business. Everything you learn today you can continue to apply in the future.

Coaching rates for small business owners start at just $1250 per month for two sessions.

The real cost is NOT getting business coaching

You already know what it is costing you to keep doing what you are doing. Are you prepared to keep paying that price?

I don’t work with everyone. I only work with small business owners who meet a certain set of criteria:

Do you qualify to work with me?

My reputation is dependent on my clients’ success, so I only work with businesses who meet a specific set of criteria.

This might be you if:

  • You have a small business with at least one employee.
  • You are an intelligent, ambitious, high achiever. You want to grow a successful business.
  • You are coachable. You’re willing to accept feedback, you’re ready to make changes no matter what and you are eager to explore the world outside of your comfort zone. (This is where change happens!)
  • You’re willing to accept feedback, make changes and explore the world outside of your comfort zone. (This is where change happens!)
  • You are prepared to set aside time to implement the strategies and to do the homework.

If you’re looking for a magic bullet solution or a way to succeed without working or changing, this is not for you.
